Display Architecture Validation Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop bit-accurate display architecture models.
• Create test suites and image quality validation tools to execute validation plans.
• Perform subjective and objective quality evaluations of display systems.
• Validate the architecture and requirements for the display sub-system of Apple's application processor chips.
• Support product bring-up in coordination with chip architecture, silicon design, and software teams.
• Execute display architecture validation across a diverse range of Apple products.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience in digital signal processing and its applications to image or video processing is required.
• A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
• Understanding of digital image/video processing, color science, and the human visual system is preferred.
• Experience performing objective and subjective image quality analysis using established metrics is preferred.
• Knowledge of image processing pipelines including display, camera, video codec, or computer vision is preferred.
• Strong software engineering skills in C++ and scripting languages like Lua and Python are preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration are preferred.
