The Director, Technical Program Management (EPTech) joins the Enterprise Platforms Technology team to lead the strategy and execution of large-scale, technically complex, cross-functional programs. This role involves breaking down organizational silos, influencing roadmaps, diving deep into system design and architecture, making technical tradeoffs, and driving platform consolidation. The successful candidate will identify and resolve hard technical dependencies while managing a team of TPMs to build the foundations for the TPM practice. Key requirements include experience with distributed computing, cloud computing services like AWS, and building highly scalable mobile products and platforms. The role requires expertise in Agile delivery and managing complex programs within a highly regulated environment to solve technical problems and deliver critical business goals through robust enterprise platform capabilities.
Drive the strategy and execution of large-scale, technically complex, cross-functional programs.
Dive deep into system design and architecture to make critical technical tradeoffs.
Identify and resolve hard technical dependencies while defining and escalating mitigation plans.
Drive platform consolidation and break down organizational silos to streamline technology solutions.
Manage and develop a team of Technical Program Managers to build the TPM practice.
Simplify complex technical concepts to drive well-educated decisions across engineering and product teams.
Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the entire delivery life-cycle.
What we're looking for
At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs.
Experience as a TPM leader to grow and develop a team of TPMs.
Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) (preferred).
MBA or Master’s Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience (preferred).
7+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing (preferred).
3+ years of experience building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services/architecture, preferably AWS (preferred).
3+ years of experience with Agile delivery (preferred).
