TL;DR · Director, Product Management - Ethernet Portfolio (PHY, NIC, & Switching)

Director, Product Management - Ethernet Portfolio (PHY, NIC, & Switching) leads the definition, productization, and commercialization of an Ethernet portfolio encompassing physical layer (PHY), multi-PHY, controllers/NICs, and switching platforms. This role manages end-to-end strategy across hardware, firmware, system architecture, and software enablement to ensure cohesive silicon-to-system solutions. Key responsibilities include defining multi-generation roadmaps, translating customer requirements into silicon capabilities, managing SKU strategies, and driving architecture trade-offs regarding performance, power, cost, and programmability. The position involves developing business cases, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams in design, validation, manufacturing, and supply chain. The role serves as the primary voice of the customer for hyperscalers and OEMs to shape requirements. The work focuses on solving complex infrastructure challenges within Ethernet networking by integrating hardware and software components into a unified product vision.

What you'll do

  • Lead the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and commercialization of Ethernet product portfolios including PHY, NICs, and switching platforms.
  • Act as the primary point of accountability for hardware, firmware, system architecture, and software enablement.
  • Translate market and customer requirements into specific silicon capabilities and platform software expectations.
  • Define multi-generation roadmaps including performance tiers, feature segmentation, SKU strategy, and lifecycle planning.
  • Engage directly with hyperscalers, OEMs, and enterprise customers to capture early design-in commitments.
  • Manage architecture trade-offs regarding performance, power, cost, programmability, and time-to-market.
  • Develop business cases including TAM/SAM framing, pricing strategies, margin targets, and revenue forecasts.
  • Execute go-to-market strategies including positioning, launch readiness, and field enablement in coordination with sales and marketing.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
  • Experience managing end-to-end product strategy for hardware and software across silicon capabilities and system integration.
  • Ability to define multi-generation roadmaps including performance tiers, feature segmentation, and lifecycle planning.
  • Experience translating market requirements into technical specifications for silicon, platform software, and reference architectures.
  • Ability to engage with hyperscalers, OEMs, and enterprise customers to capture design-in commitments.
  • Proficiency in managing business cases, including TAM/SAM framing, pricing strategy, and revenue forecasting.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and ecosystem partners without direct authority.
