Director, IT Governance, Risk, Compliance & AI

What you'll do

• Lead the enterprise IT governance, risk, and compliance strategy to align with business goals and regulatory obligations.
• Establish an integrated AI governance model including risk tiering, data safeguards, and lifecycle controls.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, procedures, and control frameworks across the organization.
• Manage SOX-related IT controls in partnership with Finance and Internal Audit teams.
• Ensure compliance readiness for federal requirements including NIST, CMMC, DFARS, and export-controlled information.
• Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure evidence is ready and corrective actions are validated.
• Create executive-level reports on risk trends, control health, and audit posture for senior leadership.
• Manage the department budget while identifying opportunities to automate and simplify governance processes.

What we're looking for

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
• A Bachelor's degree and 15 years of leadership experience, or a Master's degree and 13 years of leadership experience, are required.
• Substantial leadership experience in IT governance, risk, compliance, information security, or audit within highly regulated environments is required.
• Experience leading complex, geographically dispersed technical organizations and developing professional staff is required.
• Knowledge of IT control frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 27001 is required.
• Working knowledge of defense-industry requirements including CMMC, DFARS, and NIST SP 800-171/172 is required.
• Export-controlled information, and customer obligations.
