Director, Head of Legal Discovery & Strategy

What you'll do

• Lead Apple's global Discovery Program to deliver best-in-class discovery management across litigation and regulatory docket.
• Oversee priorities of Discovery teams to ensure work is defensible, compliant, and impactful with reported results.
• Direct execution of the Discovery Program in all global litigations and investigations, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with Legal department partners to drive innovative compliance solutions for discovery processes.
• Evaluate and report on Discovery efforts to stakeholders, incorporating recommendations for company-wide data management.

What we're looking for

• 12+ years of experience managing large-scale discovery in an in-house legal department or equivalent.
• Proven track record of innovation and impact in designing vendor strategy and scaled program management.
• Strong understanding of legal standards governing discovery compliance and digital forensics best practices.
• Experience building and mentoring high-performing teams while remaining engaged in substantive work.
• Ability to identify gaps, propose solutions, and manage projects with a focus on time, quality, cost, and risk.
• Excellent collaboration skills, including cross-functional relationship-building and open communication.
• JD or equivalent degree and admission to at least one US state bar.
