Director, Global Event Security

What you'll do

• Lead the global event security program by driving enterprise-wide strategy, governance, and business continuity objectives.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of security personnel to ensure accountability and excellence.
• Manage multi-year budgets, procurement, contracts, and executive-level dashboards for senior leadership.
• Direct threat assessments and develop operational playbooks for events of all scales and complexities.
• Command onsite security operations including real-time monitoring, threat intelligence, and incident response.
• Oversee vendor selection and governance for guard forces, access control, medical support, and weapons detection.
• Maintain strategic relationships with law enforcement, government agencies, and emergency response entities to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Produce after-action reports and strategic roadmaps while representing the company in industry forums.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in criminal justice, business administration, security management, or a related field.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a multinational corporation with demonstrated career progression into leadership.
• 5+ years of experience leading and developing teams, including direct management of security managers or supervisors.
• 5+ years of experience building and leading large-scale event security programs for global organizations with 5,000+ attendees.
• Experience handling extensive budgets and large-scale vendor ecosystems.
• Deep knowledge of security technologies including video management, access control systems, incident management databases, and GSOC integration.
• Strong command of international security environments, threat landscapes, jurisdictional regulations, and fast-paced conditions.
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
• Advanced training and industry-recognized certification such as CPP, PSP, or equivalent (preferred).
• Familiarity with AI/ML-powered security technologies, including predictive threat detection and video analytics (preferred).
• Background in federal law enforcement, intelligence community, or military special operations (preferred).
• Professional proficiency in a second language (preferred).
