The Director, Enterprise Architecture – Platform & Infrastructure leads the Platform Architecture team to define long-range strategy, standards, and governance for infrastructure and shared platform capabilities. This leader manages a team of architects to oversee cloud and datacenter infrastructure, Kubernetes, container platforms, compute, storage, networking, databases, observability, CI/CD, secrets management, and identity integration. You will drive platform modernization, reduce technology fragmentation, and establish paved roads to improve developer productivity. Key responsibilities include shaping multi-cloud strategies, managing technology lifecycles, and ensuring secure-by-design principles. The role requires expertise in cloud-native architecture, FinOps, and infrastructure automation to solve complex problems in high-volume, low-latency, data-intensive environments. You will serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, balancing long-term modernization with near-term business delivery needs.
Lead and manage a team of Enterprise Architects responsible for platform and infrastructure architecture.
Define the long-range architecture strategy, standards, roadmaps, and governance for cloud and datacenter infrastructure.
Establish architectural direction for Kubernetes, storage, networking, observability, CI/CD, and developer tooling.
Shape multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure strategies including guardrails for resiliency, security, and cost efficiency.
Drive platform modernization to reduce legacy complexity, technology fragmentation, and operational toil.
Define paved roads and golden paths to improve developer productivity and platform consistency.
Partner with Security and Finance to embed secure-by-design principles and FinOps practices into platform strategy.
Evaluate emerging technologies and influence build, buy, and retire decisions based on business value and risk.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.
12+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, cloud architecture, enterprise architecture, or related technology leadership roles.
5+ years of people leadership experience managing architects, principal engineers, platform architects, infrastructure architects, or comparable senior technical contributors.
10+ years of relevant work experience.
Demonstrated experience defining architecture strategy and roadmaps for large-scale distributed systems, infrastructure platforms, cloud environments, or high-volume digital technology platforms.
Deep knowledge of cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, containers, serverless, infrastructure automation, networking, storage, databases, observability, CI/CD, developer platforms, and security-by-design practices.
Experience establishing architecture governance, standards, review processes, reference architectures, and technology decision frameworks across multiple teams or business domains.
Experience in AdTech, MarTech, media technology, SaaS, marketplace platforms, digital advertising, or similarly high-scale, low-latency, distributed, data-intensive environments (preferred).
