What you'll do

Develop and execute a multi-year strategy for the enterprise data platform including ingestion, lakehouse, and compute.
Manage the enterprise data platform's infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and cost-effective cloud operations.
Drive improvements in MLOps, LLMOps, and overall platform observability to meet business innovation needs.
Lead a large team of senior managers and directors across multiple technology and business domains.
Manage the department budget and develop resource management strategies for various organizational structures.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with senior leadership to influence high-priority projects and decisions.
Translate complex technical problems into understandable terms for communication with executive leadership.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and 12+ years of experience.
Experience managing a team of at least 15 people including managers, contractors, and managed service providers.
Experience managing a budget of at least $15 million.
Thought leadership in data platform engineering, lakehouse architecture, and MLOps/LLMOps across multiple domains.
Hands-on expertise with large-scale lakehouse and cloud data platforms like Snowflake or AWS and data pipeline engineering.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate complex problems to all levels including the C-Suite.
Master’s degree and experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred).
Experience in technology operation, strategy, planning, and implementation or relevant business domain (preferred).
