The Director, AI Engineer leads a team focused on delivering, adopting, and evolving artificial intelligence engineering capabilities for Fuelight 360, an enterprise resource allocation and investment optimization platform. This role involves translating corporate AI strategy into actionable roadmaps while designing and operationalizing generative AI, agent-based solutions, and LLM-powered products to improve decision support and scenario planning. The candidate will manage the development of production AI applications while implementing MLOps, LLMOps, and AgentOps practices for lifecycle management and monitoring. Key technical requirements include expertise in Python, Microsoft Azure, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), GraphRAG, semantic search, vector databases, and knowledge graphs. The role addresses the business problem of optimizing marketing and trade spend through advanced data analytics and intelligent automation while ensuring compliance with enterprise governance, security, and responsible AI standards across the digital network.
Design, develop, and operationalize scalable AI capabilities and generative AI solutions for the Fuelight 360 product.
Translate enterprise AI strategy and architecture standards into actionable delivery roadmaps and implementation plans.
Implement MLOps, LLMOps, and AgentOps practices including lifecycle management, deployment automation, and monitoring.
Lead the design and operation of production AI applications, LLM-powered products, and agent-based solutions.
Manage and develop a team of AI engineers through coaching, technical direction, and performance leadership.
Establish engineering quality standards through architecture reviews, code reviews, and operational readiness assessments.
Ensure all AI solutions comply with enterprise governance, security, privacy, and responsible AI requirements.
Evaluate emerging AI technologies to identify opportunities that improve delivery effectiveness and business impact.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
8+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, machine learning engineering, platform engineering, or related technical disciplines.
5+ years of experience leading engineering teams, technical leads, or specialized engineering functions.
Demonstrated experience delivering production AI solutions, including generative AI, large language model applications, intelligent agents, and machine learning systems.
Expertise in agentic AI architectures, RAG, GraphRAG, semantic search, vector databases, knowledge graphs, and AI orchestration frameworks.
Hands-on technical expertise in Python and cloud-native application development, with Azure preferred.
Experience implementing and operating MLOps, LLMOps, and AgentOps capabilities in production environments.
