What you'll do

Establish and mature SLIs, SLOs, monitoring, and alerting for critical applications.
Participate in production incident response, troubleshooting, stabilization, and root-cause analysis.
Develop automation to reduce manual operational work and improve system reliability.
Create and maintain operational standards, procedures, and runbooks.
Analyze major releases and production changes for potential availability and reliability risks.
Develop and implement resiliency and testing strategies for applications and infrastructure.
Contribute to CI/CD and automation workflows that enable reliable software delivery.
Identify application dependencies and potential failure points across distributed systems.

What we're looking for

5+ years experience in software engineering & backend development.
Experience with Java/Spring Boot and/or Node.js/TypeScript.
Experience with AWS and cloud-native technologies.
Experience with Kubernetes / containerized environments.
Experience with REST APIs and microservices.
Experience with CI/CD and deployment automation.
Experience with New Relic or similar observability/APM technology.
Experience with Splunk / centralized logging and distributed-system troubleshooting.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience).
Working knowledge of problem solving and decision making skills (preferred).
Experience with Automation/scripting and Messaging/queue technologies such as Kafka (preferred).
Experience with Production incident management, RCA, and monitoring, alerting, SLIs and SLOs (preferred).
