The DevOps Engineer, Sr joins the Common Operations Release Environment team to provide cost-effective cloud solutions for an intelligence customer. In this role, you will architect, build, and maintain on-prem and cloud infrastructure while automating the installation, configuration, and maintenance of platform services. Daily responsibilities include optimizing service deployments, integrating enterprise authentication, establishing system monitoring, and managing server logs to identify security incidents. You will maintain build and deployment processes using CI/CD tools, apply configuration management for security hardening, and participate in SAFe and Scrum development teams. Required technical skills include experience with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, GitLab, Python, Bash, and Shell scripting. You must also possess knowledge of network technologies, load balancers, firewalls, and microservice design patterns to ensure operational readiness and reliability.

What you'll do

Architect, build, and maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructure to support customer initiatives.
Automate and optimize service deployments and maintain existing build and deployment processes using CI/CD tools.
Administer production, staging, and development environments while applying configuration management disciplines.
Monitor system performance, server load, and resource usage while managing and aggregating server logs.
Establish and improve system monitoring while maintaining security protocols and enforcing access controls.
Maintain documentation of designs and configurations to ensure team continuity of recurring tasks.
Manage the operational readiness board and present weekly updates on development services ready for automation.
Provide on-call support and track the completion of routine operations maintenance tasks.

What we're looking for

Must possess a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
Must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI + Polygraph clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.
8+ years of related experience.
Proficiency in Bash, Python, and Shell scripting.
Experience with container images and platforms including Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.
Understanding of GitLab or other DevOps/Continuous Integration tools.
Experience deploying On-Prem infrastructure.
