The Deployment Engineer joins the Mission Operations team to manage the execution and success of customer accounts by deploying radar and integrated sensor capabilities for military and government clients. This role involves serving as a project manager or site lead to monitor system performance, connectivity with mesh networks, and fusion with other sensors like EO/IR and RF. Depending on the specific focus area, the candidate will either build tools for remote monitoring, develop software integrations, and perform statistical analysis of sensor data, or lead physical site standups, install hardware, and provide on-site training. Required skills include a degree in electrical, electronics, or computer engineering, along with proficiency in scripting, automation, and CLI commands. The role addresses the technical challenge of providing persistent, all-weather detection for air surveillance and counter-UAS missions.
Serve as the primary project manager and systems owner for radar and sensor capabilities across multiple customer sites.
Monitor radar system performance, connectivity, and integration with mesh networks and other sensors at distributed locations.
Gather and prioritize user feedback regarding detection performance, tracking accuracy, and software improvements for engineering teams.
Develop tools and automated dashboards to monitor remote system health and perform faster troubleshooting.
Analyze sensor data from field tests and exercises to identify trends and root causes of technical issues.
Lead site standups including hardware installation, configuration, and real-time troubleshooting in the field.
Manage logistics for test events, including travel planning, equipment staging, and coordination with partner organizations.
Deliver operator training sessions and provide pre-exercise preparation for military and government customers.
What we're looking for
Must have 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Willingness to travel between 50% and 75% of the time.
For Software & Analysis focus: must have experience in software engineering (scripting/automation, data pipelines, or systems integration) and statistical analysis of sensor performance.
For Integration & Field focus: must have basic CLI familiarity to run commands and follow technical procedures.
Preferred: Experience working with military or government partners like Army Air & Missile Defense, USMC Ground Based Air Defense, SOCOM, or DHS CBP.
Preferred: Basic understanding of radar fundamentals, sensor fusion concepts, or air defense operations.
Preferred: Ability to communicate effectively with both internal technical teams and external stakeholders like military operators and program managers.
