Principal Software Engineer, Debt Solutions

What you'll do

• Own the architecture and design of full-stack web products and high-volume, secure data pipelines.
• Translate complex product requirements into scalable system architectures for both new greenfield projects and existing systems.
• Create and maintain architectural diagrams and comprehensive technical documentation to serve as a primary knowledge source.
• Provide mentorship and guidance on microservices, micro-frontends, and real-time data streaming to other technical staff.
• Advocate for and implement architectural principles to ensure high quality, consistent results across multiple teams.
• Diagnose and resolve complex performance, scalability, and reliability issues within the enterprise environment.
• Design and implement secure software solutions using AWS services and modern security practices.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college or university.
• 10+ years of experience designing complex enterprise-level web applications including microservices, serverless, and data systems.
• Expert proficiency in at least one programming language: C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Significant hands-on experience implementing AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and S3.
• Experience designing secure systems and implementing security-minded development practices.
• Experience modeling and implementing large-scale relational and NoSQL database systems.
• Experience designing event-oriented architectures and real-time data streaming solutions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts through architectural diagrams.
