What you'll do

Administer and support SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases including performance tuning and patching.
Provision, manage, and monitor database instances hosted on AWS, specifically Amazon RDS.
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine administration, configuration, and patching tasks.
Design and implement database architectures involving security, access control, and ETL processes.
Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery configurations while performing periodic restore testing.
Optimize AWS infrastructure including EC2 instance sizing and EBS volume performance for database workloads.
Provide technical guidance to application developers regarding data solutions and database management capabilities.
Manage infrastructure code using Git-based version control systems like GitHub.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
4+ years of relevant experience in an IT-related field.
Hands-on experience administering SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases.
Experience provisioning, managing, and monitoring databases on AWS, specifically Amazon RDS.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for database automation and configuration tasks.
Experience with database patching, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (NACLC T3) clearance.
