JOB TITLE: Data Scientist/Statistician The Data Scientist/Statistician joins the Statistics and Data Science team within the foundry quality and reliability department. This role supports semiconductor process development and the transfer of systems to a worldwide virtual factory network. You will partner with factory automation organizations to drive change control decisions, improve process capability, and ensure matching across tools and fabs. Daily responsibilities include using predictive modeling, statistics, machine learning, and data mining to extract insights from structured and unstructured data. You will develop software, algorithms, and applications to perform large-scale experimentation and translate data into intelligence. Required technical skills include Python, R, SQL, JSL, and PowerBI. You must demonstrate proficiency in developing statistical methodologies, data cleaning, and causal inference to solve complex business problems and support process control systems.

What you'll do

Ensure the organization uses appropriate data and analyses to make change control decisions.
Drive the use of process control systems to improve semiconductor process capability, matching, and stability.
Use predictive modeling, machine learning, and data mining to extract insights from structured and unstructured data.
Develop software, algorithms, and applications to perform large-scale experimentation and translate data into business intelligence.
Perform causal inference to identify patterns and relationships within complex datasets.
Interface with process and integration functional area analytics teams to solve technical problems.
Code statistical analysis, data cleaning, and data manipulation using Python, SQL, and JSL.

What we're looking for

Master's or PhD degree in Statistics, Data Science, or Industrial Engineering.
4+ years of experience working in statistics or data science.
2+ years of experience working on quality systems such as process control and change control systems.
1+ year of experience working on PowerBI or similar dashboards.
1+ year of experience in data analytics and machine learning using Python, R, JMP, etc., and relational databases (SQL).
Experience in using AI/ML/Analytics algorithms, developing statistical methodologies, and coding for data cleaning and manipulation.
1+ years of experience working on fault detection systems (preferred).
2+ years in a Technical leadership role (preferred).
