The Data Scientist, Lead will join a team focused on improving Navy mission solutions by transforming complex, disparate data into objective answers for military leaders. In this role, you will work closely with customers to understand their needs, digging into data-rich environments to develop algorithms, write scripts, and build predictive analytics. You will apply machine learning and various frameworks to provide deep insights into structured and unstructured data sources. Required skills include over twelve years of experience in statistical and general-purpose programming, data exploration, cleaning, and visualization. You must possess expertise in natural language processing, text mining, and developing experimental analytic plans. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in a quantitative field and maintain a Secret clearance to solve these complex technical problems.

Build predictive analytics and apply machine learning techniques to solve complex problems.
Create experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes to determine cause and effect.

What we're looking for
Master's degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Computer Networks, or Operations Research.
12+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis.
12+ years of experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources.
10+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining.
8+ years of experience developing experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes using strong baselines and accurately determining cause and effect relationships.
Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources.
Experience leading a team, projects, deliverables, and the development of solutions to complex programs.
