Senior Advisor, Data Science, Pricing & Underwriting

What you'll do

• Build models to identify opportunities for pricing and underwriting partners using healthcare and ML data.
• Perform feature engineering, model development, and model monitoring using medical, prescription drug, and utilization data.
• Create actionable insights and recommendations for business leaders to advance strategic objectives.
• Develop models using GLMs, Machine Learning, Clustering, LLMs, or other advanced techniques.
• Design, launch, and measure robust pilots to test new solutions with business leaders.
• Write clean, documented, and well-structured code while maintaining a culture of documentation and logging.
• Own projects end-to-end, including scoping, ideation, development, and production deployment.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of direct Data Science experience in a healthcare-related environment.
• Strong background in statistics, machine learning, and model development.
• Experience deploying ML/predictive models to production or cloud environments.
• Strong skills with Python, SQL, Git, Keras, and TensorFlow.
• Knowledge of common healthcare data such as claims, EHR, and laboratory data.
• Experience with best programming practices and writing clean, documented, and well-structured code.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end, including scoping, ideation, development, and production.
• MS or PhD in STEM-related fields (preferred).
