TL;DR · Data Center Deployment Planner, Infrastructure Services

The Data Center Deployment Planner, Infrastructure Services joins the Information Systems and Technology organization to manage global infrastructure readiness for new product offerings. This role involves leading the end-to-end planning, allocation, and physical delivery of a global server and compute/storage fleet across multiple campuses and partner facilities. You will translate high-level architecture into actionable scopes of work, coordinate with SREs and logistics partners, and triage deployment blockers remotely. The position requires expertise in data center, networking, or infrastructure fields, specifically involving capacity planning for hyperscale enterprise fleets. Key technical skills include understanding physical and logical networking fundamentals like TCP/IP and L2/L3 topologies, proficiency in UNIX-based environments using CLI shells, and experience with bash or perl scripting. Additionally, the role involves managing high-density liquid-cooled infrastructure and GPU accelerators to solve complex deployment challenges.

What you'll do

  • Manage the end-to-end planning, allocation, and physical delivery of global server and compute/storage fleets.
  • Translate high-level architecture into actionable scopes of work, rack SKUs, and detailed deployment plans for remote partners.
  • Coordinate with SREs, project managers, site services, and logistics partners to drive projects from planning to completion.
  • Define deployment strategies including hardware, network, security architecture, and resiliency plans in collaboration with customers.
  • Remotely triage and isolate deployment blockers by coordinating between technicians, network engineers, and hardware engineering teams.
  • Develop processes and strategies to automate and streamline global infrastructure deployment workflows.
  • Manage high-stakes customer expectations and negotiate trade-offs during supply chain or site delays.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years of experience in data center, networking, or infrastructure fields including capacity planning or deployment management for hyperscale enterprise fleets.
  • 3+ years of technical program or project management experience delivering complex, large-scale data center programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent job-related experience).
  • Understanding of physical and logical networking fundamentals, including switches, connectors, patch panels, cables, and TCP/IP topologies (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in a UNIX-based data center environment with proficiency in CLI shells and basic scripting (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in project management of infrastructure services or related technical domains managing multiple projects simultaneously (preferred).
  • Experience with GPU/accelerator or high-density liquid-cooled infrastructure (preferred).
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, build relationships, and manage high-stakes customer expectations (preferred).
