The Data Center Deployment Planner, Infrastructure Services joins the Infrastructure Services team within the Information Systems and Technology organization. This role leads the end-to-end planning, allocation, and physical delivery of a global server and compute/storage fleet. You will conceptualize and document complex deployment programs, translating high-level architecture into actionable scopes of work and rack SKUs to accelerate time-to-first-compute. Key responsibilities include coordinating with SREs, logistics partners, and site services to manage hardware, network, and security architecture. Required skills include experience in data center capacity planning, project management, and networking fundamentals like TCP/IP and L2/L3 topologies. Technical proficiency in UNIX-based environments, CLI shells, and scripting with bash or perl is preferred, alongside experience with GPU accelerators or high-density liquid-cooled infrastructure.
Drive deployment projects from initial planning to completion by coordinating with global SRE, PM, and logistics partners.
Translate high-level architecture into actionable scopes of work, rack SKUs, and detailed deployment plans.
Define deployment strategies including hardware, network, security architecture, and resiliency plans with customers and partners.
Remotely triage and isolate deployment blockers by coordinating with remote hands technicians and network engineers.
Manage the end-to-end planning, allocation, and physical delivery of the global server and compute fleet.
Develop and implement process improvements to automate and streamline infrastructure deployment processes.
Negotiate deployment trade-offs during supply chain or site delays while maintaining customer confidence through proactive communication.
What we're looking for
4+ years of experience in data center, networking, or infrastructure fields, including capacity planning or deployment management for hyperscale enterprise fleets.
3+ years of technical program or project management experience delivering complex, large-scale data center programs.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Networking, or a related field, or equivalent job-related experience.
Understanding of physical and logical networking fundamentals, including switches, connectors, patch panels, cables, TCP/IP, and L2/L3 topologies (preferred).
5+ years of experience in a UNIX-based data center environment with CLI proficiency and basic bash or perl scripting (preferred).
5+ years of experience in project management of infrastructure services or related technical domains managing multiple projects simultaneously (preferred).
Experience with GPU/accelerator or high-density liquid-cooled infrastructure (preferred).
Effective collaborator with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage high-stakes customer expectations (preferred).
