The Cybersecurity Information Security Assessor joins the team to provide critical cybersecurity support for the Defense Enterprise Office Solution Cloud Service Offering. This role involves ensuring the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of capabilities within Microsoft Azure environments while participating in risk assessments during the Accreditation and Authorization process. The individual will design, develop, and integrate information assurance architecture, implement security countermeasures, and manage systems across multiple data protection boundaries. Key responsibilities include conducting threat hunts, analyzing network traffic and endpoint telemetry, and managing incident detection and response. Required expertise includes Microsoft Azure, HBSS, ACAS, CMRS, JIMS, and eMASS. The role requires proficiency in Kusto Query Language (KQL) and experience with Impact Level 6 and 7 systems to protect the Department of Defense Information Network from domestic and foreign cyber threats.

What you'll do

Provide cybersecurity guidance for confidentiality, availability, and integrity of capabilities in Microsoft Azure environments.
Participate in risk assessments during the Accreditation and Authorization process.
Design, develop, test, and integrate IA architecture and system components to ensure secure operations.
Develop security countermeasures to mitigate risks identified during information systems assessments.
Protect the Department of Defense Information Network from cyber threats using established tactics and procedures.
Execute cyber threat hunting initiatives to identify malicious activities or vulnerabilities in digital infrastructure.
Perform incident detection, triage, and response while analyzing logs and network traffic for suspicious activity.
Conduct investigations into security incidents and provide detailed reports on findings and mitigation strategies.

What we're looking for

Must be a United States citizen.
Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
Bachelor's degree required.
Current 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP) required.
5+ years of related experience required.
Must have 3+ years of experience supporting MS Azure in a large-scale environment.
Expert knowledge of cybersecurity systems including HBSS, ACAS, CMRS, JIMS, and eMASS required.
US Citizenship.
