Principal AI Security Engineer

What you'll do

• Build and harden security tools to protect AI agents, model-backed services, and supporting infrastructure.
• Operate and mature AI guardrails including in-line model protections, prompt-injection defenses, and data-loss prevention.
• Design detection capabilities for agentic threats such as tool abuse, data exfiltration, and credential misuse.
• Develop automated, machine-speed response and containment tools for reversible and irreversible security actions.
• Create reusable architectures and reference designs to enable consistent defense of agentic systems across the organization.
• Evaluate emerging AI security tools and research through focused experimentation to bring solutions into production.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, detection and response, or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong software engineering expertise in Python, APIs, data pipelines, and security platforms.
• Hands-on experience securing AI and enterprise environments, including AI agents, LLM applications, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience implementing security controls such as AI guardrails, DLP, identity and access management, and application/endpoint protection.
• Foundation in security operations, including detection and response engineering, telemetry analysis, and incident response.
• Deep expertise in securing and hardening AI/agentic systems, including adversarial ML techniques and AI red teaming (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of AI and cybersecurity frameworks like MITRE ATLAS or OWASP LLM Guidance (preferred).
