The Cybersecurity Auditor – Network & Firewall Management and Operational Technology (OT) joins the Internal Audit Team to provide independent assurance and advisory services regarding cybersecurity risks, controls, and governance. This role involves executing risk-based audits and assessments of network security, firewall management, and operational technology environments, including industrial control systems and SCADA systems. You will evaluate the design and effectiveness of controls for network segmentation, intrusion prevention, cloud network security, and Zero Trust architectures. Key responsibilities include reviewing firewall rule management, change management processes, and security monitoring capabilities. You will utilize data analytics and technology-enabled audit techniques to analyze firewall rulesets, traffic patterns, and security logs. Required competencies include knowledge of network architecture, VPN technologies, and various security frameworks like NIST and ISO 27001.
Execute risk-based audits and advisory reviews of network security, firewall management, and operational technology environments.
Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls for unauthorized access across cloud, enterprise, and industrial networks.
Assess the governance and administration of enterprise firewalls, cloud-native security services, and perimeter defense technologies.
Review firewall rule management, network configuration, and change management processes including provisioning and decommissioning.
Evaluate network architecture and segmentation strategies to ensure critical assets are appropriately isolated and protected.
Assess security controls for remote access, VPN technologies, third-party connectivity, and Zero Trust architectures.
Review cybersecurity controls within operational technology environments, including SCADA systems and manufacturing networks.
Utilize data analytics and technology-enabled audit techniques to analyze firewall rulesets, traffic patterns, and security logs.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Two to five years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Network Security, IT Audit, Firewall Administration, Network Engineering, or Operational Technology Security.
Expertise in network security, firewall management, network architecture, and network segmentation.
Knowledge of cloud network security, Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), and SCADA security concepts.
Proficiency in security monitoring, logging, incident detection, and risk-based auditing.
Experience auditing or administering technologies such as Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco Firepower, Fortinet, Juniper, Zscaler, or Claroty (preferred).
Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, Security+, CISM, or CCNP Security (preferred).
