The Cyber Security Analyst III/Senior will join the Cybersecurity Analytics Support Team to support the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. This role involves analyzing cybersecurity threats to identify trends and emerging risks within the United States financial sector. Key responsibilities include conducting formal assessments of reported incidents at financial institutions, providing input on response activities, and preparing research for internal stakeholders. The position requires expertise in frameworks like NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, IS 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK. Candidates must utilize skills in incident management, security architecture, and cloud services including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. The role addresses the technical problem of mitigating threats against confidentiality, integrity, and availability while tracking threat actor groups impacting regulated banking environments.
Analyze and interpret cybersecurity threats to identify emerging risks and trends within the financial sector.
Provide technical insight and best practices during active cyber incidents involving supervised financial institutions.
Conduct formal assessments to determine the severity of reported cybersecurity incidents.
Prepare written research, analysis, and assessments regarding threat actors and mitigation strategies for internal stakeholders.
Assist bank supervision examination teams during active cybersecurity incidents at regulated institutions.
Communicate incident details to Supervision & Regulation staff to ensure appropriate isolation of residual effects.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to less experienced analysts on internal processes and supervisory procedures.
Participate in a rotating weekend on-call rotation to provide continuous support.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or related field and 7+ years of experience (Analyst III) OR Master's and 5+ years.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or related field and 10+ years of experience (Senior) OR Master's and 7+ years.
Advanced specialized operational/technical skills in cyber intelligence and information security.
Expert knowledge of regulations, procedures, and practices of a specific discipline like information security or cyber intelligence.
Advanced knowledge of intelligence concepts, NIST, ITIL, COBIT, and security analytics.
Relevant IT certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CGEIT, CRISC, or CRMA (preferred).
