The Customer Solutions Strategy Lead joins the Pre-Sales Customer Engineering team to serve as a strategic link between account management and technical execution for high-value accounts. This role involves mapping complex customer ecosystems, developing adoption roadmaps, and coordinating cross-functional teams to drive enterprise-wide transformation. You will act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders like CTOs and VPs of Engineering to promote platform growth across three core areas: App Modernization, Developer tools, and AI infrastructure. Key responsibilities include identifying expansion opportunities, advocating for customer needs in product roadmap discussions, and navigating technical hurdles. The role requires expertise in security architecture, cloud computing solutions including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and a deep understanding of the broader threat landscape. You will leverage your technical acumen to translate complex behaviors into simple terms while driving adoption of Workers, R2, D1, and AI Gateway.
Develop account-specific adoption plans across App Modernization, Developer, and AI platform domains.
Map customer workloads to Cloudflare capabilities to define project sequencing and milestones.
Build and manage relationships with technical executives including CTOs and VPs of Engineering.
Coordinate cross-functional internal teams to ensure alignment on customer priorities and delivery goals.
Identify and qualify expansion opportunities for the sales team to drive revenue growth.
Advocate for customer requirements by providing quarterly feedback to the Product team.
Translate complex platform capabilities into tangible production workloads and business value for clients.
What we're looking for
You must have 10+ years of experience in Customer Engineering Leadership, Product Management, Consulting, or Technical Strategy within a global SaaS or infrastructure environment.
You must possess exceptional communication skills to influence C-level executives and internal product leads.
You must be able to navigate high-pressure, ambiguous environments while proactively steering complex engagements.
You must have the technical acumen to map customer ecosystems and translate platform capabilities into production workloads.
Experience in a technical leadership role or as a Customer Engineer, consultant, or technical marketing engineer is preferred.
Knowledge of AI, security challenges, and the broader threat landscape is preferred.
Experience with cloud computing solutions like Microsoft 365, Azure, Google, or AWS is preferred.
