As a Vice President within the Corporate Tax Planning Group, you will join a team responsible for identifying tax issues and opportunities across various products, businesses, and regions. You will partner with internal teams to review and advise on corporate actions, including legal entity structure changes, treasury transactions, and cross-border initiatives impacting the global tax footprint. Your daily work involves collaborating with accounting, compliance, and audit teams to assess legislative changes and new business initiatives while performing quantitative analyses using Excel. You must monitor developments in U.S. and international tax law to identify risks and lead restructuring projects. The role requires a Juris Doctorate or CPA and expertise in topics such as FTCs, Subpart-F, FDDEI, sourcing, and cross-border matters within the financial services industry context.
Advise on internal corporate actions including legal entity structure changes and treasury transactions.
Assess the U.S.-international tax implications of cross-border initiatives and legislative changes.
Coordinate with internal accounting, compliance, and audit teams to ensure accurate reporting and audit support.
Perform quantitative analyses of U.S.-international tax items using Excel.
Review calculations and supporting documentation from tax compliance and audit teams for accuracy.
Monitor developments in U.S. and international tax law to identify risks and opportunities.
Communicate tax impacts and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Lead workstreams to execute legal entity and other restructuring projects.
What we're looking for
Juris Doctorate (or non-U.S. equivalent) or CPA.
Minimum 5+ years of relevant tax experience at a top tier law firm with a strong tax practice or financial services industry experience at Big 4 accounting firm.
Extensive technical expertise and experience with US-international tax topics including FTCs, Subpart-F, FDDEI, sourcing, and cross-border.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to leverage Excel to prepare clear and comprehensive quantitative analysis and communicate findings to senior management.
Execution-oriented and demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
