Container Platform Engineer Senior

What you'll do

• Champion the architecture, deployment, and management of the OpenShift Platform Plus container orchestration system.
• Develop automation frameworks and scripts using Ansible, Bash, and Python to enhance operational workflows.
• Design container platform architectures that ensure system reliability, scalability, and security compliance.
• Build self-service capabilities for microservices onboarding and streamline deployment automation.
• Troubleshoot and optimize platform performance to maintain high availability and scalability.
• Implement observability and monitoring solutions using the Grafana and Prometheus stacks.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and Azure DevOps.
• Apply GitOps operational frameworks and DevOps best practices across the application lifecycle.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7 years of experience in DevOps engineering, Platform engineering, or similar positions with a focus on container technologies (preferred).
• Demonstrated expertise in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestrating containerized applications.
• Advanced proficiency in automation and scripting languages such as Ansible, Bash, and Python.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Linux administration, system internals, and distributed systems performance analysis.
• Foundational Red Hat Certifications, container technology certifications, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) (preferred).
