Consulting Manager - Senior Financial Engineer will join the Financial Services Consulting team to develop and enhance pricing, risk, P&L, and trade lifecycle solutions for financial markets operations. The role involves partnering with FX and Interest Rate traders to design, validate, and enhance hedging processes while translating trading desk requirements into scalable solutions for trade capture, valuation, and risk reporting. Key responsibilities include analyzing P&L drivers, Greeks, and Value at Risk, as well as performing root-cause analysis. The position requires advanced SQL skills to optimize database views and stored procedures, alongside experience with the full software development lifecycle. Candidates must possess deep knowledge of FX and Interest Rate products, pricing methodologies, and data flows across front, middle, and back offices within a complex, regulated environment.
Design, validate, and enhance pricing, risk, P&L, and hedging processes for FX and Interest Rate products.
Translate trading desk requirements into scalable solutions for trade capture, valuation, and market data integration.
Analyze P&L drivers, Greeks, Value at Risk, and stress-testing results to perform root-cause analysis.
Design and optimize complex SQL queries, database views, and stored procedures to support analytics and reporting.
Manage end-to-end solution delivery including requirements gathering, model implementation, testing, and production support.
Implement model controls such as back-testing, benchmarking, and governance documentation.
Provide technical and quantitative explanations of financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What we're looking for
At least 10 years of experience in financial engineering, Front Office quantitative analysis, trading-focused business analysis, risk analytics, or a related role.
Strong knowledge of FX and Interest Rate products, including spot, forwards, swaps, options, and derivatives.
Advanced SQL skills including experience writing complex queries, database views, and stored procedures.
Solid understanding of pricing methodologies, market data, Greeks, Value at Risk, stress analysis, and P&L explain.
Experience with trade lifecycle processes and data flows across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, and Finance.
Experience delivering solutions through the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, SIT, UAT, and production support.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical and quantitative concepts to various stakeholders.
An advanced degree in Financial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
