What you'll do

  • Manage production services by monitoring availability, capacity, and system health.
  • Shape software pre-launch through design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
  • Improve system scalability and reliability by pushing for capacity enhancements.
  • Practice sustainable incident management with a blameless postmortem culture.
  • Define and maintain Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Objectives (SLOs).
  • Engineer automated solutions to reduce operational workload and enhance system self-healing.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in managing production systems through monitoring and capacity planning.
  • Strong background in automation, tools, and engineering principles to optimize system performance.
  • Deep understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Proficiency with observability stacks including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience in software development using Java, Python, Perl, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and managed services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Solid analytical skills and ability to debug and optimize code effectively.
