Software Engineering Co-op

What you'll do

• Develop, implement, and test software solutions according to design requirements and coding standards.
• Perform software integration and verification activities including debugging and troubleshooting.
• Document code, processes, and workflows to maintain clear technical records.
• Support automated testing by developing scripts or specialized test tools.
• Participate in team planning, code reviews, and iterative development cycles.
• Contribute to the design of complex software and embedded/firmware systems for defense operations.

What we're looking for

• Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical/scientific discipline.
• Must be enrolled at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution and eligible for a co-op work term.
• Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with programming languages such as C#, Java, Kotlin, Python, or C++.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaborative software development practices.
• Knowledge of software testing frameworks, automated testing tools, and Agile methodologies.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada and able to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance.
