Cloud Security Engineer, Senior

What you'll do

• Develop cloud-based security architectures for mission-critical Intelligence Community systems.
• Evaluate and support documentation, validation, assessment, and accreditation processes for IT systems.
• Analyze actual state information against desired states and risk thresholds to assess compliance.
• Advise leadership on codifying strategic objectives into formal doctrine and procedures.
• Evaluate computer applications and software to ensure software assurance best practices are followed.
• Recommend security tools and capabilities based on research of on-premises, cloud, and hybrid resources.
• Implement the cloud security architectures, tools, and processes defined during the design phase.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience building and administering cloud environments using cloud-native functionality and various tools.
• Experience developing and evaluating security documentation, including system security plans and continuity of operations plans.
• Experience with security architecture evaluations, guidance development, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Knowledge of infrastructure code concepts such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
• Associate’s degree with 10+ years of IT experience, Bachelor’s with 8+ years, or Master’s with 6+ years of IT experience.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level III and CSSP-IS certifications within 30 days of start date.
• Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC) (preferred).
• Possession of excellent team leadership, development, and client relationship skills (preferred).
• Possession of excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills (preferred).
