As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will join a team dedicated to developing cloud-based security architectures for critical Intelligence Community systems. You will evaluate and support documentation, validation, assessment, and accreditation processes to ensure Information Technology systems meet Information Assurance and security requirements. Your daily responsibilities include defining desired states and risk thresholds, analyzing compliance, and advising leaders on codifying strategic objectives into doctrine. You will evaluate software and utility programs for assurance best practices and recommend tools for on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You will implement the architectures and processes you help shape. Required skills include experience with the Risk Management Framework, cloud-native functionality, and COTs, GOTs, or open-source tools. Technical knowledge of AWS Control Tower, Azure Landing Zones, or GCP Org Policies is preferred.

What you'll do

Develop cloud-based security architectures for mission-critical Intelligence Community systems.
Evaluate and support documentation, validation, assessment, and accreditation processes for IT systems.
Analyze actual state information to assess compliance with Information Assurance and security requirements.
Advise leadership on codifying strategic objectives into official doctrine and procedures.
Evaluate computer applications and software to ensure software assurance best practices are followed.
Recommend security tools and capabilities based on research of on-premise, cloud, and hybrid resources.
Implement the cloud security architectures, tools, and processes defined during the design phase.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience building and administering cloud environments and utilizing cloud-native functionality, COTs, GOTs, and open-source tools.
Experience with security architecture evaluations, guidance development, and troubleshooting.
Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
HS diploma or GED.
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification within 30 days of start date.
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Cybersecurity Service Provider-Infrastructure Support Certification within 30 days of start date.
Experience with SDLC, multicloud governance, or excellent leadership and communication skills (preferred).
