The Cloud Migration Engineer serves as a technical leader responsible for guiding customers, applications, and workloads through successful cloud migrations. You will lead engagements from initial onboarding through steady-state operations, managing migration plans, milestones, and readiness criteria. Day-to-day, you will coordinate across application, infrastructure, networking, security, and database teams to identify requirements, remove blockers, and manage risks. You will validate target cloud architectures, manage cloud capacity requirements, and facilitate technical working sessions. The role requires expertise in cloud concepts including compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and databases. You will utilize skills in infrastructure as code, Terraform, and Kubernetes to navigate complex data center-to-cloud or cloud-to-cloud migrations. You will solve technical hurdles by translating complex issues into actionable plans for cross-functional engineering resources.
Lead cloud migration engagements from initial onboarding through successful transition to steady-state operations.
Develop and maintain migration plans, milestones, dependencies, readiness criteria, and deployment schedules.
Validate target cloud architectures and assess technical readiness to identify gaps that could delay migration.
Coordinate capacity requests and forecasts to ensure required cloud resources are available before deployment windows.
Onboard application teams and provide education on migration methodologies, technical requirements, and processes.
Proactively identify and resolve migration risks, technical blockers, and cross-functional dependencies.
Communicate complex technical status, risks, and readiness updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Develop reusable migration patterns, playbooks, and automation to improve migration velocity and predictability.

Working knowledge of major cloud concepts including compute, networking, storage, identity and access management, security, databases, observability, and high availability.
Experience planning or executing migrations of enterprise applications or infrastructure to cloud environments.
Ability to understand application architectures, infrastructure dependencies, and deployment requirements.
Experience coordinating technical work across multiple engineering teams and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to identify and drive resolution of technical risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers.
Strong facilitation skills and experience leading technical meetings, planning sessions, and readiness reviews.
Strong organizational and project execution skills, including milestone, dependency, risk, and action tracking.
Experience with OCI, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or another large-scale cloud platform (preferred).
Experience with enterprise-scale data center-to-cloud or cloud-to-cloud migrations (preferred).
Experience with infrastructure as code and automation technologies such as Terraform (preferred).
Familiarity with containers and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (preferred).
Understanding of cloud networking, connectivity, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and security architecture (preferred).
Experience with capacity planning, infrastructure forecasting, or large-scale deployment planning (preferred).
Familiarity with Agile, program management, or technical project management practices (preferred).
Cloud architecture or cloud engineering certifications (preferred).
