What you'll do

Develop Python microservices to automate network provisioning and operational configuration workflows.
Build and maintain REST API endpoints for processing YAML inputs and generating Jinja2 configurations.
Design and implement unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability of automation pipelines.
Integrate backend systems with source-of-truth data platforms like NetBox and CockroachDB.
Refactor legacy code, improve Docker container configurations, and reduce technical debt.
Create operational runbooks and documentation for internal team onboarding and system maintenance.
Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, and peer code reviews.

What we're looking for

High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Experience in back-end development with Python, including data structures and JSON/YAML processing.
Proficiency in designing and consuming REST APIs using frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.
Ability to work collaboratively in a Git-based workflow including branching and code reviews.
Familiarity with containerization fundamentals and Docker for building and running images.
Aptitude for automated testing, specifically writing unit and integration tests for production systems.
Knowledge of scripting and infrastructure tools such as Bash or Ansible is preferred.
Familiarity with template engines like Jinja2 and networking concepts like IP addressing and VLANs is preferred.
