As a Cloud Application Architect, you will join a specialized team focused on streamlining the software development life cycle for intelligence community systems. You will design and architect efficient solutions to automate and shorten the time required to move new capabilities from development into production. Your daily responsibilities include leading efforts to incorporate open-source tools, automation, and infrastructure as code using Agile methodologies to reduce barriers for secure deployment. The role requires expertise in AWS, microservices, containerization with Docker or Kubernetes, Linux server systems, and various scripting languages. You will also work on continuous integration and deployment mechanisms while utilizing technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, SAM, and ELK stack monitoring tools. This position addresses the critical challenge of scaling enterprise software development processes to support mission-critical operations within national security environments.
Design and architect efficient cloud solutions to automate the software development lifecycle.
Implement continuous integration and deployment mechanisms to accelerate production timelines for mission-critical applications.
Integrate open-source tools and infrastructure as code to streamline enterprise software processes.
Develop and maintain microservice architectures using containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Manage, configure, and maintain Linux server systems within cloud environments.
Utilize AWS managed services to build scalable and secure cloud-native applications.
Provide high availability and resilient solutions through clustering and failover methods.
Perform application performance analysis and monitoring using tools like ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.
What we're looking for
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
Must have 7+ years of experience in cloud application development and designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex cloud applications at enterprise scale.
Must have 5+ years of experience with AWS.
Must have 5+ years of experience with microservices and containerization, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher.
Must have 2+ years of experience developing and deploying microservice architectures.
Experience with Linux server systems in the cloud and scripting languages is required.
A Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of technology experience, or 11+ years of technology experience without a degree, is required.
Ability to obtain Security+, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC certification within 6 months (preferred: current certification).
