As a Cloud Application Architect, you will join the team to design and architect efficient solutions that automate and shorten the time required to move new capabilities from development into production for mission-critical operations. You will lead efforts to incorporate open-source tools, automation, and infrastructure as code using Agile methodologies to streamline the software development lifecycle. Your daily work involves implementing continuous integration and deployment mechanisms to support intelligence systems. The role requires expertise in AWS, microservices, containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Linux server systems, and scripting languages. You will also work with cloud-native managed services, including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and SAM. This position focuses on solving the technical challenge of scaling out enterprise software development processes while ensuring secure deployment for national security applications within a high-security environment requiring a TS/SCI clearance.
Design and architect efficient cloud solutions to automate the software development lifecycle.
Implement continuous integration and deployment mechanisms to accelerate the delivery of mission-critical applications.
Integrate open-source tools and infrastructure as code to streamline production deployments.
Develop enterprise-scale microservices using containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Manage and maintain Linux server systems within cloud environments.
Utilize AWS managed services to build scalable, high-availability software solutions.
Secure and harden operating systems, applications, and containers for intelligence community use.
What we're looking for
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in technology, or 11+ years of experience in technology in lieu of a degree.
Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of start date.
7+ years of experience with cloud application development and designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex cloud applications at enterprise scale.
5+ years of experience with AWS.
5+ years of experience with microservices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher) and 2+ years of experience deploying microservice architectures.
Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux server systems in the Cloud and using scripting languages.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Serverless technologies, hardening systems, performance monitoring, and Agile release methodology (preferred).
