TL;DR · Careers

As an Engineer at Qualcomm, you will join the ASICS team to develop and integrate flow automation critical for chip design, applying expertise in data processing and analysis techniques. Your daily tasks include developing CAD tools and software using advanced technology and algorithms, improving cost and time efficiency for SoC teams, and enhancing cross-disciplinary collaboration. You will use industry-standard tools like Cadence and RTL Compiler to execute the architecture and design of specific block components under supervision, resolving any issues through sound ASIC engineering practices. Responsibilities also include writing basic tests and regressions, running power checks, and interpreting performance results. Additionally, you will support innovation in ASICs, SoC, IP cores, and transistor-level circuits, contributing to process improvements and participating in project reviews. The ideal candidate has a Master's or Bachelor’s degree plus relevant experience, with proficiency in electrical engineering, computer science, and related fields.

What you'll do

  • Develop and integrate flow automation for chip design using data processing techniques.
  • Create CAD tools and software to enhance efficiency in Qualcomm’s SoC teams.
  • Execute architecture and design of specific block parts according to provided protocols.
  • Write basic tests and regressions to identify bugs in own work during verification.
  • Run power checks on assigned part of a block under guidance from senior engineers.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in ASIC design and verification.
  • Expertise in developing CAD tools and software for chip design automation.
  • Proficiency in using EDA tools such as Cadence RTL Compiler.
  • Ability to execute architecture and design of specific block parts independently.
  • Experience writing basic tests, regressions, and performing power checks.
