The CAD Engineering Program Manager joins the Hardware Technology Engineering Program Management Team to support the Silicon Engineering CAD organization. This role involves driving technical execution across diverse topics including data center infrastructure, storage roll-outs, and operating system planning while supporting front-end and back-end silicon CAD design flows. The manager owns schedules, identifies blockers, and aligns work across multiple parallel projects and datacenters. Key responsibilities include tracking project milestones, managing resource metrics, and communicating dependencies to CAD, Design, Infrastructure, and Technology teams. Candidates must possess chip design or CAD flow knowledge, specifically in areas like Logic design, Synthesis, DV, DFT, PNR, STA, LVS, DRC, or Extraction. The role requires proficiency with Gantt charts and program management tools within a rapid development cycle for silicon projects.
Own and drive high-level achievements by focusing the CAD team on meeting near-term landmarks.
Run and track project schedules for a multifaceted core technology team.
Participate in early planning for new projects, including resourcing and scheduling.
Drive weekly schedule and communication meetings with upper management.
Communicate project schedules and dependencies to CAD, Design, Infrastructure, and Technology teams.
Predict, plan, implement, and monitor project requirements from an infrastructure perspective.
Identify gaps and mitigate risks immediately during the project execution cycle.
Incorporate findings into a detailed plan to focus on continuous improvements.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of proven experience.
Knowledge of chip design and/or CAD flow.
Experience in Front-end (Logic design, Synthesis, DV, or DFT) or Back-end (PNR, STA, LVS, DRC, Extraction) CAD Tools/Flows.
Experience working in engineering environments related to EDA or chip design (preferred).
Experience with Compute, Storage, and Network equipment in Large HPC Datacenters or understanding EDA tools, licensing, and OS dependencies (preferred).
Program/project management experience in Silicon/CAD projects, or a combination of Program Management and CAD design experience (preferred).
Proficiency with Gantt charts and Program Management tracking tools (preferred).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills (preferred).
