The Business Applications Developer & Automation Specialist joins the Health and Services Sector to support the Strategic National Stockpile. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing operational systems that ensure emergency medical readiness during public health emergencies and natural disasters. You will configure, administer, and maintain WebEOC and Microsoft 365 applications while developing Power BI dashboards and reporting tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing low-code workflow automations, managing role-based access controls, troubleshooting application issues, and creating technical documentation or training materials. To succeed, you must utilize technologies including the Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, and AI-enabled productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT. You will also leverage web development skills in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to improve business workflows and ensure mission readiness for critical emergency response operations and infrastructure.
Configure and maintain WebEOC and other enterprise applications to support emergency preparedness operations.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and operational reports for data visualization.
Design and implement low-code workflow automations using Microsoft 365 and Power Automate tools.
Utilize AI-enabled productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT to improve documentation and reporting efficiency.
Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to end users and government stakeholders.
Create technical documentation, configuration guides, operational runbooks, and training materials.
Manage configuration control, system testing, and application sustainment activities.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide emergency response support as required.
What we're looking for
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Experience configuring or administering enterprise business applications like Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics is required.
Required experience in web development using tools such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Required experience developing dashboards using Microsoft Power BI or equivalent reporting tools.
Required experience designing or supporting workflow automation using Microsoft 365, Power Automate, or comparable low-code platforms.
Experience using AI productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT to improve workflows, documentation, or reporting is required.
