Biopharmaceutical R&D Data Analytics & Visualization Scientist

What you'll do

• Partner with R&D scientists to structure and answer analytical questions for the early discovery pipeline.
• Frame and tackle essential analytical questions to enable data-driven decision-making for stakeholders.
• Develop and implement technology solutions for data capture, integration, and visualization of large scientific datasets.
• Lead initiatives to implement state-of-the-art tools for analyzing scientific data.
• Apply statistical analyses, experiment design, regression, and modeling to scientific datasets.
• Develop statistical analyses and data visualizations using Python.
• Extract, transform, and load data using SQL queries, table creation, views, and reporting.
• Translate complex data results into non-technical formats for written and oral presentations.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Master’s degree in biology, bioinformatics, cheminformatics, chemistry, data science, or a related field.
• Must have 2 years of industry work experience in the healthcare/pharma industry as a data scientist or in an informatics role.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 years of industry work experience in the healthcare/pharma industry is accepted.
• Must have experience applying statistical analyses, experiment design, regression, and modeling to scientific data sets.
• Must have experience translating data results into non-technical formats for written and oral presentations to R&D stakeholders.
• Must have experience developing statistical analyses and visualizations of scientific data in Python.
• Must have experience extracting, transforming, and loading data and writing SQL queries, table creation, views, and reporting.
• Must have experience performing academic or industry research in life sciences or the pharmaceutical industry.
