What you'll do

Provide technical and business support for applications to ensure stability, quality, and functionality.
Perform daily system monitoring, risk reconciliations, and regional handovers to maintain operational continuity.
Develop and maintain technical support documentation and identify ways to maximize application potential.
Assess the impact of production issues and escalate them to management in a timely manner.
Define scope for complex enhancements and develop contingency plans to ensure system availability.
Partner with development teams to prioritize bug fixes, tool requirements, and deployment activities.
Act as a subject matter expert and coach for junior analysts while managing support projects.
Lead the incident response lifecycle, including detection, triage, mitigation, and post-incident analysis.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
5-8 years of experience in an Application Support role.
Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux, advanced scripting, and SQL/Oracle/Sybase.
Experience installing, configuring, and supporting business applications in a high-availability environment.
Proficiency in programming languages including Shell Scripting, Perl, C/C++, C#, .Net, or Java.
Working knowledge of Hadoop/Big Data components such as HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark, and Kafka.
Experience with incident management tools, diagnostic tools (HP Diagnostics, ITRS), and automated deployment tools.
Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to non-IT staff and coordinate with vendors and stakeholders.
