Assistant Vice President Backend Engineering Lead

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and enterprise-grade distributed systems.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable application deployments.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities or third-party AI services into backend applications for automation and analytics.
• Develop and maintain robust automated testing frameworks using AI-driven techniques.
• Monitor applications using modern observability tools and perform root cause analysis for production support.
• Optimize database queries and improve overall application performance and high availability.
• Mentor junior developers and lead efforts in system design, code reviews, and best practices.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree, university degree, or equivalent experience.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
• Working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques/methods.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes.
• Hands-on experience with Java programming and DevOps tools and technologies.
• Experience developing backend services using Spring Boot and building RESTful APIs.
