As an AWS Solutions Architect within the Cloud Platform team for Global Banking & Markets, you will join a multidisciplinary global team focused on modernizing application stacks using cloud-native principles and migrating business workloads to the cloud. You will lead architecture strategy across multiple products, translate complex technical trends into actionable leadership decisions, and establish architectural governance bodies. Your daily work involves building reusable software frameworks, reducing tooling duplication, and establishing guardrails for AI-assisted workflows while ensuring security and auditability. The role requires extensive experience in AWS, infrastructure architecture, monitoring, observability, and cloud compute and storage. You will navigate complex problems involving hybrid and multi-cloud operational models, event intelligence, and self-healing workflows to solve technical challenges within the financial services domain, specifically addressing requirements for operational resilience and cost-performance outcomes across a diverse portfolio of technologies.
Advise and lead the architecture strategy for a portfolio of products, applications, and technologies.
Translate complex technical issues and trends into actionable insights for leadership to drive innovation.
Create durable, reusable software frameworks to improve development velocity and output quality across teams.
Establish and lead an architecture governance body to oversee firm-wide standards.
Partner across domains to reduce tooling duplication and maintain authoritative technology lifecycle governance.
Improve decision traceability and cost-performance outcomes through clear metrics and architectural guardrails.
Evaluate emerging technologies and AI capabilities for enterprise fit, security, and adoption readiness.
What we're looking for
10+ years of relevant technical experience including at least 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS.
Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Expertise in one or more architecture disciplines.
Extensive practical cloud native experience.
Deep expertise across Infrastructure Architecture areas including IT Service Management, Monitoring, Cloud Compute, Storage, Integration, and Network/Systems Administration.
Demonstrated experience leading safe adoption of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within architecture workflows.
Prior experience in the finance industry (preferred).
Strong understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud operational models, automation, and financial-services regulatory frameworks (preferred).
