The Associate Principal Engineer, Systems Architecture joins the engineering team to serve as a technical leader defining and validating complex AI infrastructure systems. This role involves connecting architecture, requirements, interface management, and design tradeoffs to translate customer needs into scalable, deployable platform solutions from concept through production. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading system architecture development, feasibility assessments, and technology roadmaps while driving cross-functional integration across electrical, mechanical, cooling, software, controls, networking, and manufacturing teams. The position requires expertise in systems engineering, hardware/software integration, and verification and validation methodologies. Key skills include requirements management, system decomposition, trade studies, and technical risk assessments. The work focuses on the technical challenge of integrating power, cooling, compute, and facility interfaces into reliable, production-ready infrastructure for AI applications.
Lead system architecture development, feasibility assessments, and technology roadmaps for AI infrastructure platforms.
Define system requirements, specifications, interface controls, and validation criteria to meet business objectives.
Drive cross-functional integration across electrical, mechanical, cooling, software, controls, networking, and manufacturing teams.
Own requirements management, system decomposition, trade studies, and technical risk assessments.
Lead system integration, verification, validation, prototype builds, and production readiness activities.
Partner with stakeholders to support deployment planning, manufacturing readiness, and customer technical reviews.
Champion systems engineering best practices and architecture governance across engineering teams.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
Master’s degree (preferred).
10+ years of experience in systems architecture, systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, hardware development, or complex product development environments.
Proven success defining system requirements and leading multidisciplinary product development programs from concept through manufacturing and deployment.
Strong expertise in systems architecture, requirements management, interface control, hardware/software integration, and verification & validation methodologies.
