Associate Manager, AI Data Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and document end-to-end data architectures to support analytic, operational, and research needs.
• Develop standards-compliant and interoperable schemas and data models for clinical data.
• Build and scale pipelines to monitor and improve the quality of internal and CRO partner data.
• Implement a modern data platform in coordination with Global Development and enterprise IT.
• Automate routine workflows and optimize the performance of existing data platforms.
• Support KPIs that measure the overall impact of the corporate data strategy.
• Mentor junior team members and evaluate emerging data engineering innovations for adoption.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience designing and maintaining infrastructure for clinical or biomedical data in healthcare or life sciences.
• Expertise in modern data platforms such as Snowflake, RedShift, BigQuery, or Databricks.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python, SQL, and R.
• Proficiency in cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices including version-controlled, well-documented code.
• Experience building, scaling, and integrating pipelines for structured and unstructured data across the enterprise.
• Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, 21 CFR Part 11) and clinical data standards (CDISC, HL7, FHIR).
• Knowledge of machine learning pipelines and their integration with clinical data platforms.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
