What you'll do

Design and operate scalable data legal compliance programs in response to global regulatory developments.
Embed privacy and data protection considerations into product development, engineering, and procurement workflows.
Manage and coordinate data legal reviews for internal tools, systems, and new product launches.
Manage the compliance mechanism of Data Subject Requests (DSRs) to ensure timely legal responses.
Draft, update, and maintain internal and external privacy policies, notices, and guidelines.
Manage privacy-related certifications and registrations for various jurisdictions and data transfer frameworks.
Review vendor and customer contracts for privacy and data protection compliance.
Support M&A due diligence and integrate acquired entities' data practices with corporate standards.

What we're looking for

Juris Doctorate degree or international equivalent.
Active bar license in the state of practice or ability to obtain one upon hiring.
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a legal-related field.
2+ years of experience at a law firm or in-house advising on global data and privacy protection laws.
Experience conducting contract reviews, impact assessments, and executing compliance programs using tools like OneTrust.
Familiarity with major global data protection frameworks including US, EU, and China regulations.
Experience working cross-functionally with business and engineering teams to provide practical legal guidance.
Experience in the telecommunications, IoT, or SaaS industries is preferred.
