JOB TITLE: Assoc Director, IT SAP, Product Life Cycle
The Assoc Director, IT SAP, Product Life Cycle serves as the Product Owner for Product Lifecycle Management capabilities within the ERP and Digital Transformation strategy. Reporting to the Director, IT ERP PDM, this leader owns the vision, roadmap, and delivery strategy for digital product threads from development through commercialization. Key responsibilities include governing SAP PLM, SAP MDG, and SAP S/4HANA platforms to manage Specification Management, Recipe Development, BOM Management, and Engineering Change Management. The role requires leading cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with GxP, cGMP, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 standards. The position solves complex data governance and operational effectiveness problems across Pharmaceutical Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, and Supply Chain organizations by establishing enterprise standards for product master data and lifecycle information.
Own the vision, roadmap, and lifecycle strategy for Product Lifecycle Management capabilities.
Translate business priorities into product roadmaps, investment plans, and measurable business outcomes.
Govern SAP PLM, SAP MDG, and related digital platforms including Specification Management and BOM Management.
Establish enterprise standards for product master data, lifecycle data, and regulatory product data.
Lead end-to-end delivery of PLM initiatives from demand intake through deployment and sustainment.
Manage cross-functional teams including architects, developers, validation teams, and system integrators.
Ensure all systems comply with GxP, cGMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and enterprise quality standards.
Build and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field with 10+ years of SAP, ERP, or product management experience.
Master's degree in a related field with 8+ years of SAP or ERP experience.
Deep expertise in SAP PLM, SAP MDG, SAP S/4HANA, and product lifecycle management processes.
Experience managing product roadmaps, business priorities, delivery portfolios, and stakeholder relationships.
Strong understanding of Specification Management, Recipe Development, BOM Management, Engineering Change Management, Labeling, Product Data, and Master Data Governance.
Experience leading large-scale ERP implementations and continuous improvement initiatives within regulated Life Sciences environments.
Strong understanding of GxP, cGMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, validation, data integrity, and compliance requirements.
Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, system integrators, AMS providers, and external partners.
