As an Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer, Senior, you will join a team dedicated to supporting cyber and intelligence analysts through the development of AI-enabled capabilities for time-sensitive national security workflows. You will collaborate with operators and mission leadership to capture complex user workflows, document decision points, and translate them into executable logic. Your daily responsibilities include designing and implementing LLM-powered workflows, agent-based automation, and hybrid systems to improve data accessibility in high-tempo environments. The role requires proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, PydanticAI, CrewAI, PyTorch, TensorFlow, vLLM, or llama.cpp. You will integrate AI systems with APIs and enterprise data stores within classified environments. Candidates must possess a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph and experience in cyber or intelligence domains to solve critical operational problems.
Capture and document complex mission workflows from cyber and intelligence analysts.
Translate operational decision points into structured process maps and automation requirements.
Design and implement LLM-powered workflows and agent-based automation systems.
Integrate AI systems with APIs, enterprise data stores, and existing mission platforms.
Develop multi-step reasoning and tool orchestration for high-tempo environments.
Ensure all AI solutions perform reliably within secure, classified production environments.
Build software using Python and specialized frameworks like LangChain or PyTorch.
What we're looking for
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, or software engineering within cyber, intelligence, or national security environments are required.
6+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, or software engineering within cyber, intelligence, or national security environments may be substituted for a degree.
Experience capturing user workflows and translating them into structured process maps, automation requirements, or executable logic is required.
Experience designing or implementing LLM-based or agentic workflows, including multi-step reasoning, tool integrations, and orchestration is required.
Experience integrating AI systems with APIs, enterprise data stores, or mission platforms is required.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python is required.
Experience with on-premise/multi-classification environments, AWS/Azure, specific LLM frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph), ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), or a Master's degree is preferred.
