Applied AI Engineer Intern

What you'll do

• Research and implement generative AI solutions to improve investment team efficiency.
• Develop systems to store, retrieve, and derive insights from textual data.
• Build applications using large language models and embedding models.
• Train and fine-tune large language models and embedding models.
• Execute all phases of the analytics process from research to system development.
• Use Python, SQL, and machine learning libraries to process and analyze data.
• Manage code repositories and utilize ETL tools for data processing.

What we're looking for

• Must be a Bachelor's or Master's student graduating between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Must possess exceptional analytical, data processing, and programming skills in Python, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, and SQL.
• Must have an exceptional understanding of statistical and machine learning concepts.
• Must have familiarity with ETL tools and managing code repositories using GitHub.
• Must have experience training and fine-tuning large language and embedding models to build applications like LangChain.
• Must be able to clearly communicate complex technical subject matters and work collaboratively in an ambiguous environment.
• Experience with Vector Databases, OpenSearch, Apache Airflow, AWS, Spark, Databricks, deep learning frameworks, or AI research is a plus (preferred).
