As an Applied AI Engineer II, you will join the engineering team to translate product specifications into complex AI service architectures by decomposing business intent into agent workflows, data source integrations, and scalable designs. You will develop LLM-based solutions involving prompt engineering, model selection, cost optimization, and RAG pipeline design while building evaluation systems with rubrics and golden datasets to ensure safety. Your daily work involves writing production-quality C# and Python using test-driven development to build services that meet reliability standards. You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI components, utilizing CI/CD pipelines, feature flags, and Azure data sources for real-time grounding. Key technical requirements include experience with low-code platforms like Dataverse, Power Applications, and managing chatbot solutions while applying Responsible AI practices to ensure all outputs remain safe and compliant.
Translate product specifications into AI service architectures including agent workflows and data source integrations.
Develop LLM solutions through prompt engineering, model selection, cost optimization, and RAG pipeline design.
Build evaluation systems using rubrics and golden datasets to validate agent correctness and safety.
Write production-quality C# and Python code following test-driven development principles.
Deploy services using CI/CD pipelines with full production observability including tracing and logging.
Implement secure service patterns such as RBAC, Managed Identities, and secrets management.
Integrate agents with Azure data sources to ground responses in real-time signals.
Apply Responsible AI practices to ensure outputs are safe, fair, and compliant.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience in low-code development, technical program management, data analysis, or product development (or equivalent).
1+ year(s) of experience using low-code/no-code platforms such as Dataverse or Power Applications.
1+ year(s) of experience managing and configuring artificial intelligence solutions like chatbots.
1+ year(s) of experience with programming and coding.
Ability to develop LLM-based solutions including prompt engineering, model selection, cost optimization, and RAG pipeline design.
Proficiency in writing production-quality C# and Python using test-driven development.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production observability (tracing, logging, metrics).
