What you'll do

  • Architect, design, and implement secure, scalable API management solutions using Google Apigee X and Hybrid.
  • Lead enterprise API strategy initiatives and establish governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Drive migration programs to move legacy platforms like IBM API Connect and MuleSoft to modern architectures.
  • Define and implement API security standards for authentication, authorization, threat protection, and compliance.
  • Provide technical leadership across the API lifecycle from initial strategy through deployment and operational support.
  • Enable cloud-native API platforms leveraging GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Guide engineering teams on microservices architecture, CI/CD implementation, and API design standards.
  • Present technical strategies and architectural recommendations to executive and senior leadership stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience in Enterprise Integration, API Management, and Digital Transformation.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing solutions with Google Apigee.
  • Deep expertise in Google Apigee (X/Hybrid), API Strategy, API Governance, REST APIs, Microservices, and API Security.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale API modernization and migration programs from legacy platforms like IBM API Connect, DataPower, or MuleSoft.
  • Strong background in Cloud Architecture (GCP and/or AWS), Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and enterprise-scale solution design.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide architecture leadership, stakeholder management, executive communication, and technical mentoring.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification (preferred).
  • Google Apigee Certification (preferred).
  • Experience driving enterprise-wide API governance and API-first transformation initiatives (preferred).
  • Expertise in cloud-native architecture and large-scale digital transformation programs (preferred).
  • Strong leadership experience working with distributed global teams (preferred).
