Analytics Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain foundational and business data products in the MART layer of the data platform.
• Translate complex business requirements into reusable data products, metrics, and transformation logic.
• Build and maintain semantic models with rich metadata to enable self-service analytics and AI consumption.
• Develop data models that support diverse outputs including dashboards, reports, APIs, and operational system integrations.
• Apply complex business logic using modern transformation tools and software engineering best practices like version control.
• Ensure data quality through consistent testing, monitoring, reconciliation, and issue resolution across the pipeline.
• Document data products, semantic models, lineage, and usage guidance to improve transparency and user adoption.
• Manage governed access patterns by aligning metadata and role-based controls with enterprise standards.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI engineering, or a closely related data role.
• Experience building analytics-ready data models and reusable business logic on modern cloud platforms like Snowflake.
• Hands-on expertise with DBT or similar transformation frameworks including modular modeling, testing, and version control.
• Proficiency in SQL for optimizing transformation logic for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Proven ability to design and maintain semantic models, metrics, and business definitions for diverse downstream consumption patterns.
• Experience applying software engineering best practices such as Git-based development and deployment discipline.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, lineage tooling, and role-based access controls in enterprise environments.
